Kawartha Conservation is a partnership of watershed municipalities who balance environmental capacity and human need. We manage natural resource features that are essential for sustaining water quality and quantity, through watershed planning, stewardship, environmental monitoring and research, as well as management of conservation and natural areas.

We know that managing your property can be challenging. We offer services to landowners to help you make the most of your property while benefitting the water, land and air that sustains our community.

Whether you are a farmer, a shoreline resident, a rural or urban resident, we want to work with you to:

• Improve water quality through streambank erosion protection, limiting nutrient inputs and sediment loading, removal of barriers and decreasing water temperatures
• Conserve soil by addressing water and wind erosion
• Enhance natural areas by increasing biodiversity and wildlife habitat, expanding buffers and encouraging other natural features such as wetlands

Landowner services include financial assistance, site visits, technical expertise and more.
